Optical Shop
In addition to the comprehensive ophthalmology services provided at Eye Care Medical Group, our practice also features an optical shop with a wide array of eyeglass frames to suit every style and budget. Our optical shop offers patients high-quality vision correction materials in a convenient setting, eliminating the hassle of bringing your prescription to another location. Patients are encouraged to browse through the products in our optical shop after seeing the doctor.
At Eye Care Medical Group, our optical shop is staffed by a certified optician with many years of experience fitting patients with the most appropriate glasses for their individual needs. Each and every member of our staff is dedicated to providing each patient with the personalized care they deserve from a practice they trust.
Designer Frames
Many of our patients see their eyeglasses as an additional fashion accessory, and seek the most stylish frames from well-known designers in order to achieve vision correction in a fashion-forward style. All of our frames are specially chosen for their style, comfort and quality. We pride ourselves on displaying a large, beautiful collection of frames that we update as the styles change.
We also offer stylish yet affordable alternatives that are up-to-date with the latest trends for patients who wish to remain within a certain budget. We also carry frames for children and teens, as well as sunglasses, sports glasses, goggles and other forms of safety and athletic eye-wear.
Lens Options
Once your frames have been selected, we offer numerous lens options, taking advantage of the latest technological advances to provide our patients with clear vision at all times. Some of the unique lens styles we offer include progressive lenses, anti-reflective coating, transitions lenses and other options. These specialty lens options are designed to provide unmatched vision correction.
Our optical shop features the latest technology lenses, specifically the Zeiss Individual progressive lenses. Only select practices have been certified to fit this advanced lens.
ZEISS i.Terminal
The new Carl Zeiss i.Terminal uses advanced digital scanning technology to produce lenses that are 100% customized to you. Zeiss is considered the leader in precision optics and their lenses are used in everything from microsurgery to scientific research, Hollywood film making, the U.S. space program and yes, eyeglasses.
The Zeiss i-Terminal represents the cutting-edge of lens-fitting technology. Part computer, part optical scanner, the i-Terminal takes nearly all of the guesswork out of fitting both progressive and single vision lenses and provides you with 100% personalized lenses, customized to your prescription, frame, face and personal preferences.
The Zeiss i-Terminal takes into account things like the size, shape and tilt of the frame, where you prefer to wear your glasses (up high on your bridge or down lower), the distance of the actual lens from your eye, as well as the height of the lenses themselves and your specific prescription.
When combined with patented Carl Zeiss Individualä lenses, the i-Terminal allows a truly unprecedented level of lens personalization. The benefit for you is improved vision, plus fields of view that are 50% wider than other lenses. This reduces the truncated reading areas and restricted viewing zones that can sometimes frustrate progressive lens wearers.
By using the i-Terminal in conjunction with Zeiss Individual lenses, we’re also able to provide a much wider range of frame choices that will work with your prescription — even if you are in a progressive. This offers you more variety when it comes to choosing frames. Some frame shapes and heights that you were prohibited from wearing with previous progressive lenses may now work for you.
Another feature of the i-Terminal is that it allows us to take pictures of you wearing different frames, which solves a major issue for patients who can’t see the frames they are trying on without their glasses.
The added accuracy of the Zeiss i-Terminal can help improve visual clarity and field of vision for single vision lens wearers as well, especially when paired with a Zeiss Individualä single vision lens.
If you’ve experienced problems with progressives in the past, you’ll want to stop in and experience the Carl Zeiss Individual lenses and i-Terminal for yourself.
